Web Tool 2.0 Smackdown

I have selected instagram for my web tool smackdown. Instagram is an extremely popular social media platform which is also an extremely helpful web tool. The features that instagram has to offer that I mentioned in my presentation are instagram direct messages, instagram reels, and instagram stories. Instagram also offers the feature to make an account an business account that allows you to have your email directly linked in your bio which people can contact you. It allows you to see which posts of yours are being saved and which accounts your instagram account is reaching. 


Instagram can help me with my future career in the Public Relations and Advertising field in a few ways. a Meta-commissioned Ipsos Marketing study concluded that Instagram is the #1 social media platform for people to connect with brands. The world of advertising has moved tremendously to online, instagram is a platform in which I can post products and promote a company. The features that are included in instagram stories such as instagram polls can allow my followers to engage with me and give me feedback. Participating in a poll allows consumers to give a company feedback and opinions which can make the success of products skyrocket when consumers see what they wanna buy. Instagram will help me keep my consumers posted on new products and company news, along with keeping my consumers engaged and active with the company.

    I loved your smackdown on Instagram, because it is an app that I am very familiar with. Social media continues to become more and more popular. Apps such as this can not only be used for posting personal photos and content, but can be used professionally. As you discussed your future career in advertising could potentially use Instagram as a form of advertising. It allows people from all over the world to connect with people that share similar interests.

I agree that its resources such as direct messaging, reels, and instagram stories allow an easy way to connect with others. As a public relations major, I think using this tool is extremely useful because of the connections and networking you can build around the world with others.

    Ava I think choosing Instagram for your smackdown was something that most people could overlook because they see it everywhere. This application is very used by modern youths and can help advertisers and future employees put themselves out there. As for your major this smackdown really fits the bill.

    As someone who often uses Instagram, it is an awesome business-savvy app that can bring the smaller business to the forefront if done correctly and it's such an interesting and wild concept that applications like Instagram have changed how we view advertising. It's innovative how businesses now have stories and ways to connect to the consumer in such an immediate way.

    hi Ava YouTube, is one of my favorite apps, this app is great for music searching and also learning something, I say this because if there was anything i needed done or needed to learn something, or if I had an idea of some sort for something i would always look it up on YouTube. this is great for advertising as well and making blogs and posting videos or anything. YouTube is very very popular! great job on this presentation.

    I love how available and fun instagram can be, I use instagram to post for my sorority, and it makes it super easy to get things out there, as well as events, and fundraisers. Love this Ava!!

    Thank you for your presentation about Instagram, I need to use it more to get my photography out there, but I can never come up with a good caption for my photos and don't really feel like sharing the story behind them with people that weren't there.

    I love instagram its one of my favorite social platforms to use. I like to see how many people use it to advertise their businesses as well. It's a really great way to show case talents and passions. its also a great way to show areas your travels.
