Decades ago, who would have grasped how beneficial technological aspects would be in the work place. Myself, I can say I would have not even acknowledge this fact even twelve years ago when I was just a kid. In todays world, businesses use social media platforms such as Instagram and Tik Tok to promote their merchandise. 
The Connected Educator explains the topic of professional learning communities and the tools, skills and resources to keep these environments thriving. The Connected Educator explains how web-based technology tools can be used to connect and collaborate. Using cites such as blogs and wiki, members of these communities can transfer their learning to professional practices.
I have a passion for public relations and advertising, despite not knowing the exact job title I wish to claim after college, I do know my job will lay within that field. Chapter two connects to my career by discussing technology to connect. As a communications major, I am aware how technology has grew to be a part of our daily communication. I am also aware how my work will most likely all be online, even using forms of social media to reach out to public for my future company. Another way this chapter connected to my future occupation was the mentioning of networking. Networking can be beyond important for any job, especially the field I wish to pursue.
Ava, technology has grown to be a part of day to day communication. When i was growing up all i really had was the house phone. Now we have things like Zoom & facetime that help facilitate interactions and more face to face interactions. Social media is a big outlet for communications. Many companies use it for many different ways. The company i work for now uses indeed and social media like facebook to recruit new employees. I agree with you 100 % most place that anyone can work for will be using technology for communication
ReplyDeleteAva, as a communcations journalism major I completely agree. Technology has significantly increased and changed the way we see just about anything today. Almost all jobs use it for promotions, and simple use. It will continue to become a huge piece for technology in the future.
