Chapter Six
Chapter Six of the Connected Educator tackles the topic of personal networking. The chapter talks about how "networks help you leverage deeper connections and relationships, and from those networked relationships you grow a community of connected learners and leaders". What I thought was extremely interesting was how the chapter opens up with Sheryl talking about how networking used to be like in the early 1990s. She talks about using a science board named "Newton". I never heard of this before and I'm not sure how this science board works. As someone who plans on entering the public relations and advertising field networking is a huge factor of my job. I am required to connect to the public and communicate through my company.
