App Smackdown

I have been a huge fan of watching youtube videos since I was a little girl, I even would make my own as a kid. This app has gotten more popular over the years and has left a huge impact on society. Youtube has also become a job as well, with people receiving actual income from posting content on the app. Did you know youtube is the second most popular website behind google?  Youtube's features such as recommended videos allow the app to feel more personalized and as if it's showing you what YOU wanna see, not just filled with content you aren't interested in. Another example of features I showed in my presentation was the watch later playlist, a helpful feature when you stumble across a video and can't watch it at that very moment- add it to your watch later playlist to watch later on.  Youtube will help me as someone going into the PR and advertising field because

Chapter Six

       Chapter Six of the Connected Educator  tackles the topic of personal networking. The chapter talks about how "networks help you leverage deeper connections and relationships, and from those networked relationships you grow a community of connected learners and leaders". What I thought was extremely interesting was how the chapter opens up with Sheryl talking about how networking used to be like in the early 1990s. She talks about using a science board named "Newton". I never heard of this before and I'm not sure how this science board works.      As someone who plans on entering the public relations and advertising field networking is a huge factor of my job. I am required to connect to the public and communicate through my company. Networking and creating bonds can result in huge positive results and can make or break my ability to promote/sell a product.
